Transformer Maintenace
- Examine exterior for signs of abnormality and oil leakage.
- Remove obstructions beneath cooling tubes.
- Verify all earth connections and record Ohmic values.
- Take an oil sample from drain valve for testing.
- Externally clean oil sight glasses and verify correct oil level.
- Inspect paintwork and report.
- Check the breather is free from obstruction.
- Test oil sample for acidity and insulation values of BS 148 (1972)
- Submit to customer results of oil samples, defects requiring attention and report of maintenance items.
- Top up transformer oil level, if necessary.
